Ejes de rebobinado diferenciales para máquinas de corte longitudinal
Improve consistency across every rewind roll. XW Machinery manufactures custom differential rewind shafts for slitting and converting machines. Each rewind position uses controlled slip to accommodate differences in roll diameter and material thickness, helping reduce loose rolls, telescoping and uneven winding.
We supply differential shaft solutions for machine builders, OEM projects and replacement applications. Share your core size, roll widths and shaft drawing with our engineering team to select the right configuration.
How Does a Differential Shaft Work?
The machine drives the central shaft, while individual friction rings transmit controlled torque to the rewind cores. As multiple rolls grow at slightly different rates, each ring can slip relative to the shaft. This allows the rolls to rotate at the speeds their winding conditions require.
A differential shaft helps balance torque between rewind rolls. The machine’s tension control system manages overall web tension.
Choose the Right Slitting Machine Shaft
For multi-roll rewinding, shaft selection depends on the web material, core size, number and width of rolls, finished roll diameter, operating speed and required slip torque. XW Machinery can configure ball type, key type and roller type differential shafts to suit the machine interface and winding requirements.
Send us your existing shaft drawing or photos if you need an OEM shaft or a replacement for a slitting machine.
Applications
- Plastic film and flexible packaging slitting
- Paper, labels and nonwoven rewinding
- Aluminum and copper foil converting
- Battery material and other precision multi-roll winding
Request a Differential Shaft Quote
To recommend a suitable shaft, please send your core inner diameter, roll widths, number of rolls, material, maximum roll diameter, line speed and shaft end drawing. If you are replacing a shaft, include photos of the existing unit and describe the winding problem.
